Dark RP jobs (OUTDATED)

Citizen

- Salary: $35 (Default)
- Limit: N/A
- Purpose: Basic city life
- Special Privileges: None
- Spawns with: Nothing

You spawn as this job.The citizen makes a small salary, and has no special purpose. This job is mainly for if you are just wanting to do some base building or chilling out around town. if you want to remain a citizen after joining you will NEED a home.

Hobo

- Salary: $0
- Limit: 5
- Purpose: To be the town scum.
- Special Privileges: Build in public
- Spawns with: N/A

As a hobo, you are to be the dirt of the town.
As a hobo, you are allowed to build a hobo home in public. However, it CANNOT be obstructive to public areas. Hobo homes must still follow all rules regarding fading doors. and make it look like a hobo house and not a "Huge Glass House" also the mayor has a right to Ban all hobo homes on the surface so be nice to him.

Police


- Salary: $65 (Default)
- Limit: 5
- Purpose: Mayors Minions the help enforce the Law and also Protects the people.
- Special Privileges: You may arrest (send to jail) using the arrest stick
- Spawns with: Arrest Baton ; Unarrest Baton ; Stunstick ; Weapon Checker ; Battering Ram ; Glock Pistol ; Keypad Cracker (Default)

To be in this job a vote is held and once you have a Majority of "Yes" then you will be a Police Officer.

You may make a player wanted (if they break the law) by typing "/wanted " or going to the F4 menu. This will put a display over the player's name showing all police that the player is wanted by the police and should be arrested on sight.
The weapon cheker can be used to check weapons if and only if you have a completely valid reason. You may NOT weapon check randomly. Left click the player while looking at them with the checker out to weapon check.

Chief of Police

Same as the police job, but you are the chief.

- Salary: $75
- Limit: 1
- Purpose: To enforce the law and arrest law breakers
- Special Privileges: You may arrest (send to jail) players breaking Dark RP laws.
- Spawns with: Arrest Baton ; Unarrest Baton ; Stunstick ; Weapon Checker ; Battering Ram ; Desert Eagle Pistol or Magnum ; Keypad Cracker

This job is identical to the police job, besides spawning with a Desert Eagle. You are higher up on the ranking scale, so if there is a chief of police, then regular police may not grant gun licenses. The Mayor still outranks the chief.

Mayor

- Salary: $85
- Limit: 1
- Purpose: To run the town and manage town events
- Special Privileges: You may start lockdowns and lotteries, and are given access to the Mayor's office. You may create custom laws for the town, and place law billboards.
- Spawns with: Unarrest Stick

This job is all about running the town. It is the most complicated job.

To start a lottery, type "/lottery ". Inserting a number into amount will set how much it costs to enter the lottery. The winner of the lottery is chosen at random. The winner gets the pooled money of all those who entered.

To start a lockdown, type "/lockdown". This is helpful when crime is rampant on the streets or you need to get somewhere safely to stop a crime spree. During a lockdown, everyone must be inside their houses, besides the mayor and police force. You must give them time to get inside of their houses. Once you have given them a chance, if they are still not going to their houses, then the police force may arrest the people outside. To end the lockdown, type "/unlockdown".

As mayor, you will be the top dog when it comes to granting gun licenses and search warrants. Any gun licenses or search warrants requested will go straight to you for confirmation. A prompt will appear on the left side of your screen and you will select either 'Yes' or 'No'.

To place a billboard containing the laws, type "/placelaws". To add a new law to the custom laws, type "/addlaw ". All custom laws must follow server rules, and must not override any permanent laws. I.E., you may not make money printers legal, and you may not make RDM legal.

Hitman

- Salary: $70
- Limit: 1
- Purpose: To assassinate designated targets
- Special Privileges: You may kill players that you have a hit for

As a hitman, other players will assign you hits. These hits give you permission to kill a single person each, without it being RDM. A player will type "/Advert Hit Accepted" and "/advert Hit Complete" so your hit is not confused with RDM. If you die, you will need to type "/advert Hit Failed" so that the one issuing the hit knows that it did not go through. You must obey the NLR rule- you MAY NOT kill the person the hit was on after you have died.

The minimum for a hit is $350 add more charges as you please.

Doctor

- Salary: $70
- Limit: 3
- Purpose: To heal hurt players
- Special Privileges: Ability to purchase Medical Drugs and Bandages
- Spawns with: Medic Kit (Possibly)

The doctor job is simply for healing hurt players. Equip your medic kit, look at a player that is near you (within 3 feet), and hold down left click to heal. You may also use right click to heal yourself. It is possible to heal yourself and someone else at the same time by holding down both buttons. You cannot pick sides when a doctor for example you cannot only heal Gang-members and not the Police force or vice versa.

It is suggested to create a shop with the doctor, and charge for heals. This is one way to make money.

Security Guard

- Salary: $50
- Limit: 3
- Purpose: To defend shops or homes that you are hired to defend
- Special Privileges: You may kill players that trespass or break rules of the shop or home you are defending (Within Reason)
- Spawns with: Stunstick & Possibly a Weapon Checker

As a guard, you can be hired by players to defend their bases, homes, or shops. If a player trespasses on the area, then you may kill them. There MUST be a sign warning that trespassing results in death, OR you must give the player a warning before shooting them to kill.

As with police, NO random weapon checking. If the shop/base does not allow weapons inside, you may check players entering with it.

Gangster/Mobster

Simple crime job.

- Salary: $30
- Limit: 3/4
- Purpose: To participate in crime
- Special Privileges: None
- Spawns with: Nothing

This job is made for committing crimes. It is, in essence, no different than citizen. The only difference is that you have an agenda in the top left corner of your screen that the mob boss writes.

Gang leader/Mob Boss

- Salary: $45
- Limit: 1
- Purpose: To direct crime (Gangsters)
- Special Privileges: Can write the agenda for the gangsters
- Spawns with: Unarrest Stick

The mob boss can write the agenda for the gangsters. To write the agenda, type "/agenda ".

You can use your Unarrest stick to break people out of jail. but you will need to work with a crook with a lock-pick to enter the PD

Awesome guide.

If possible change these things;
Citizen Salary should be lowered - $25
Aswell as this, make the hitman salary the same as that citizen salary (makes sense when you think about it).
$350 minimum for a hit.
Bugbait will also not be included for hobos.

$200 would be my idea as it will keep him busy. But I guess I can settle for $300. $450 seems a bit excessive.

I guess you have to think of the salary, What the average salary is for every job and how much general goods will be.

Not expecting, more wanting. I wouldn't expect $450 either. Nobody will buy a hit apart from one or two people in the whole server.

I am pretty sure citizens need a home, maybe you should include that in the guide.

Right everytime im a Hitman im charging 300-500

300 is for small things like distractions
400 is for breaking in somewhere
500 is for killing someone
1000 for taking someone hostage

Btw nice guide just need to edit and add the other jobs

I still think that 300 should be minimum but ok.

also there should be a minimum for all of them like so:

Distractions $100
Breakins $200
Kills $450 (so dan doesn't cry Very Happy just kidding, keep you happy)
Hostage $850

Amend these as you wish its just my suggestion

Hire crooks for breakins, possibly mobsters for hostage taking (they're a group, easier to take hostages)
I ususally hire hobos for distractions Razz They will do anything for money. I have gotten tons of loot as crook by making hobos distract them.

Alright. Hit price can be $350, its understandable due to the fact that its only going to be a 30/32 player server.
Also, possibly making a new job for 'Mercenary'?

I thought that but all of the needed stuff is there.

Hobo-distractions
Crook- break-ins
Hitman- kills
Mob- Kidnappings

It would also just be another hitman spot or Hitman+

Alright, fair enough I do guess its already all there.
I think though, it would be good for just one job to be able to do those abilities. Maybe for premium? I mean, I guess stuff could happen like this in real life?
It gives premium users something else, and hopefully more reason to donate and support the server.
