Basics as a citizen

People are curious, but people also have a survival instinct.
Now, in Garry's Mod, you can die and return to life again, but you don't necessarily need to die just because you can!

The first absolutely important thing I can think of, is this:
If you hear gunshots, run from them, not towards them.
If it was IRL, you wouldn't go there and risk getting killed.
You would run the opposite way.

Just today there was four citizens outside my base who was was watching and jumping inside the base, when cops had just died outside.


Being a citizen
Belive it or not, you are a law abiding citizen in real life! (I hope)
What do you in real life?
You sit and play Garry's Mod!
You don't need to sit inside your apartment all days in Garry's Mod, but you should have one.
Build an apartment, a couch, a TV, put some stuff in the fridge, a newspaper in the bathroom.

Go out on the streets, look in shops, talk to other citizens, stay away from danger.

What citizens shouldn't do
Do you own a gun in real life, for self protection?
Most of you will answer no.

In Garry's Mod, most people do. Most people doesn't hesitate to kill either.
Which is bad. There's no reason to kill anyone. If you witness a crime, call the police.
If someone is breaking in to your apartment, call the police!

Don't run around with a gun at all times.
Don't go to danger.
Act like you would irl.

Sad that a citizen guide is needed, but it's a good guide.

I usually see the citizen as a kinda 'place-holder' while I choose a job, however, I might use this to rp as a citizen.

I usually just use Citizens for custom jobs but this guide is cool.
