Ability to switch to third-person
Hey.
I'm considering adding the ability to switch between third person and first person?
Would you like to see it?

Re: Ability to switch to third-person
I'd be cool, but I don't see the point in it.

Re: Ability to switch to third-person
Eh, I prefer third person over first, so I voted yes.

Couldn't say it any better myself.Igor The Sloth wrote:+1 for this but careful with faggots hiding out behind corners and abusing it to see whats around them.
But I will put a -1.
Re: Ability to switch to third-person
Voted -1. To be honest, I hate this idea. No offence but the ability to see over ones shoulder just doesn't fit in with Serious RP. Nearly everything on this server has been reasonably realistic which is what attracted me to this community, and ideas like these is not what I play on this server for. Of course this is just my opinion. You may think this is a great idea, but this is the way I see it.

Re: Ability to switch to third-person
I like it, but could we have a rotatable camera like in GTA so we can see how our charecter looks lime from the front?
Either way, I would love this.

Re: Ability to switch to third-person
+1 It would be cool, but like Igor said if people are able to abuse this, we need to add a rule and take it seriously.
Re: Ability to switch to third-person
I find it impossible to sebe if somebody is braking any rules by u ing thirdperson, so it would je extremely hard to moderate.

Re: Ability to switch to third-person
It would take about 2 seconds to change between first and third person.
A simple cmd such as
/firstperson
/thirdperson
You'd also be able to bind them to a key.

Well than, explane a case in detail, where somebody would use this to brake the rules and how you would see+moderate it.Igor The Sloth wrote:Clearly you need some proper glasses matePjosip wrote:I find it impossible to sebe if somebody is braking any rules by u ing thirdperson, so it would je extremely hard to moderate.

Look out for people crouching behind corners, and facing the in the direction it turns...Pjosip wrote:Well than, explane a case in detail, where somebody would use this to brake the rules and how you would see+moderate it.Igor The Sloth wrote:Clearly you need some proper glasses matePjosip wrote:I find it impossible to sebe if somebody is braking any rules by u ing thirdperson, so it would je extremely hard to moderate.

Re: Ability to switch to third-person
How can you see somebody beahind a corner yourself, unless you plan for staff to randomly follow players cloaked in random RP situations.Igor The Sloth wrote:Look out for people crouching behind corners, and facing the in the direction it turns...

I meant that a random admin, randomly RPing, notices someone do that. Jeez....
Its almost as if you are trying your fucking best to find a problem with this.

Re: Ability to switch to third-person
Actually, people can actually use C to shoot (it looks like you're looking at a wall but you can shoot to the side) which is cheating and then this allows them to see around them more freely.
People can then use this to their advantage and people won't have any proof of them using third person to look around.
On second thought, I would stay neutral.

Re: Ability to switch to third-person
a rule wont cut it. People will use it and it is near impossible to enforce.
