Server Rules

Hello there! These are the server rules for Illusion Gaming RP. Make sure you follow them carefully, not doing so could result with you having a ban.
Logical rules may still apply even if they are not listed here. If you have any rules to suggest, or just want to share your opinion on them - PM me on the forums!
Be sure to check the server rules regularly, as things can be added/updated.

Server Rules

Propmingery is not allowed. Walking through the streets with a prop in your hand, or throwing props at windows is NOT tolerated (unless it involves good RP). This also includes prop-spam, prop-push, prop-surf, prop-killing, prop-blocking and prop-climbing.
Random Death Match (randomly killing people aka RDM) is not tolerated.
Random Arresting (RA), Un-arresting and Weapon Checking is not tolerated.
New Life Rule (NLR) occurs on this server. You must forget what happened in your past life, and you cannot to return to the area in which you died for 5 minutes. (If the PD is raided however, the cops can break NLR in that situation).
Double dooring is not allowed. If you have a key-padded door next to a locked normal door, this is classed as double-dooring. The normal door must be unlocked.
Being offensive in any form possible is not allowed. People have feelings, and it is completely un-necessary to abuse them.
Meta-Gaming is not allowed. This means you are not allowed to use OOC (Out-of-Character) knowledge and apply it to IC (In-Character) situations. An example of meta-gaming is breaking into a home as a cop because you saw sparks through a wall. Printers emit sparks in DarkRP, but sparks wouldn't go through walls in real life. Making adverts in OOC chat is also metagaming, use /advert instead.
Fear RP applies on this server - Pretty simple rule to be honest. An example of breaking fear rp would be to run away or pull out a gun from/at a person who has a gun to your head.
Fading door abuse isn't allowed (using the numpad on your keyboard) - It's overpowered and Fail RP.
Any form of merchant (Gun-Dealers, Shop-Keepers) must have a shop, although travelling merchants are NOT frowned upon (this does not mean make a shop on the streets).
Guess what? This is an RP server! If you're not RPING you will be kicked.
Fail Roleplaying is not allowed, such as jumping off high buildings to escape a cop. You just wouldn't do it in real life.
Revenge Demoting or Fail Demoting to take someone elses job is not allowed and will be treated with a kick/ban.
Spamming of the mic is not tolerated, this includes playing music or simply being irritating making weird noises down the micro-phone. If you want to RP as a DJ, etc, you must have permission from Head-Admins plus.
Only Hobo's and Cops can build on the streets. The cops however must have the mayor's permission and it must be some form of outpost/checkpoint/roadblock. If you are not a hobo or a cop, blocking or building public property (i.e rooftops, streets) is not allowed.
Hobo's home's must be realistic, this means no hobo fortresses/clans etc. You're a cold, starving homeless person, the last thing you would own is a fortress/huge base.
Unrealistic/Glowing materials is not allowed as it's just fail RP (some exceptions for great RP). This also includes one-way see through materials, this is OP and is not tolerated.
Rape or Sexual harassment is NOT tolerated.
Stick to what your job is. For example, don't be acting as a cop when you are a Mayor/Shop-Keeper.
Do not enforce the rules if you are not a member of staff! Ensure that you leave the staff members to their jobs, if you see someone breaking a rule, contact a member of staff.
Fake keypads are not allowed (keypads placed next to a fading door that do not work), as-well as hidden keypads which are also not tolerated as it could cause problems for staff members.
Blackmailing/threatening/trolling other players is not allowed.
Self Supply/Job Abuse is not allowed! This means that you cannot buy a gun as a gun-dealer and use it to mug people with. (Or drop your gun that you just purchased as Gun-Dealer and go to a different job and use it)
The mayors laws are not the server rules! Don't post them on the law-board.
Don't post laws that encourage breaking server rules, also it's not allowed to over-ride the standard placed laws.
Constant Raiding is not allowed, make sure between each raid there is a gap of 5-10 minutes or over.
Raiding people whilst they're building is not allowed.
You must charge at-least $350 minimum for a hit.
You are only allowed to speak English in OOC on this server. However it's possible to use different languages via IC.
You must own all the doors in a building and cannot buy just one door in a home. It's a complete waste of space and means that other users cannot use that building.
Admin Evasion (such as killing yourself, sleeping whilst frozen, or leaving the server) earns you an instant permaban with no arguments.
Everyone must have an appropriate RP name (Firstname, Lastname). Names such as XxxTr!cksh0tzzzxX etc is not allowed.
Having the same name as a different user (name stealing) causes problems if you rule-break, so you will be treated with a perma ban.
Gang Wars are not allowed.
Racism will result in a perma ban, with no questions asked.
Hobo armies are not allowed, however its okay to form a revolution against the mayor if his laws are unfair/discriminating.
Hobo's are not allowed guns or crossbows, knives only.
Common Sense RP does apply! Before doing something, think about if you or someone else would do that in real life. This means that just because the law-board doesn't say having guns out in public is illegal, doesn't mean you can do it. Cops shouldn't arrest people shooting at them either - no officer in real life would run over to a guy shooting at him to handcuff him. He would act in self-defence and take out his gun.
Asking for a staff position will result in you being kicked from the server and will massively decrease your chances in getting the actual position, (You're allowed to ask how to apply etc though).
You cannot favor a certain side as any merchant job. For example you cannot be a 'Gang Healer' and heal only gang members or be a gun-dealer and sell guns only to the police, this is abuse of your position.
Abuse of the sitting feature will result in a ban. If you use it to evade an admin it will result in an instant perma with no questions asked. If you use it to evade cops, it will result in a temporary ban.
Using the sitting feature stupidly is treated as fail RP and you will be kicked/banned.
Scamming people for money is not allowed.
Overpowered (OP) bases are not allowed, this will go off the admins/mods opinion at the time.
If you accept a hit, you must advert it. If you fail a hit or complete a hit, you must also advert it. This avoids 'RDM' confusion for staff and other users.
It's important to note there must be a valid REASON to hire a hitman.
Cheating/Hacking will result in a permanent ban, with no questions asked.
As a Keypad Hacker the minimum hacking cost must be $750.
The max mugging cost is $100. This is realistic, as its highly unlikely that a greater amount would be carried. The victim of the mugging also chooses the amount they are mugged by, as at the end of the day it would be metagame to say that the victim had more than that.
Spamming the knocking feature on people's doors is extremely annoying, and is therefore not approved.
Kill on sight (KOS) lines are not allowed, however you are allowed to shoot at those who break into your home.
Checkpoints must be OPEN at all times unless there is a lockdown.
The police station can not have keypads at all, unless there is a armory inside the PD. This also includes within checkpoints, you cannot keypad off the PD entrance.
Having your weapon unholstered as a police officer when not necessary is not allowed. Only get your gun out if you need to use it!

PointShop Rules

-- Points are OOC tokens, therefore selling them for cash in game is not allowed.

Text screen Rules

- Graffiti is not allowed, as this is not what the tool was implemented for.
- Offensive language is not allowed to be used.
- Using the text screens to put signs next to people ( such as he is an idiot ---> ) is counted as fail Rp.

Added some extra rules and clarified a few more.
