Remove glock from starting police
Alot of beginners pick police from start.
And they run around with their weapons up at all times.
And they shoot without actually roleplaying it, like "Stop!", "Drop your weapon" - if they see a weapon, they shoot.
How often do you see a police running around with a weapon irl?
I've never seen it.
I think that they should have to buy their weapons, like everyone else. More business for gun dealers, less failRP from police.

Re: Remove glock from starting police
Unless you're in America, police rarely ever use firearms unless they think that their life or other civilians lives are endangered. But I always see this happening, for example I had a moneyprinter, I ran away from the cop and went into the apartment. The cop had disappeared, I come back down (no gun out) and get shotgunned in the face. I only lost him because he went away to buy a shotgun to shoot me.

Re: Remove glock from starting police
Not only that, but I've noticed people going police officer, dropping the glock, respawning, dropping it again, and making stashes of glocks, then changing job for free guns. I agree, the glocks that police start with should be removed.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I wasn't the one doing this, I saw someone else doing it.

That's job abuse, and against server rulesSwiftHF wrote:Not only that, but I've noticed people going police officer, dropping the glock, respawning, dropping it again, and making stashes of glocks, then changing job for free guns. I agree with this.

I'm aware of that, but the last time it happened I wasn't aware until it was too late to report in my opinion.Draigan wrote:That's job abuse, and against server rulesSwiftHF wrote:Not only that, but I've noticed people going police officer, dropping the glock, respawning, dropping it again, and making stashes of glocks, then changing job for free guns. Ban him. Far too much lenience with this. Even a moderator did it with ALL the swat weapons and only got demoted.Draigan wrote:That's job abuse, and against server rulesSwiftHF wrote:Not only that, but I've noticed people going police officer, dropping the glock, respawning, dropping it again, and making stashes of glocks, then changing job for free guns. Seems people are misunderstanding me, I wasn't doing it, I saw someone else do it.Fulcrum wrote:Ban him. Far too much lenience with this. EDIT: Oh, I see, when I said "I agree with this" it implied I agreed with job abusing. Sorry, I meant I agreed with the idea of removing the glock. Changed. I completely disagree with job abusing, it's not proper RP and something should be done.

IRL cops don't buy their own gun, they get it from the station. The only difference is, that IRL (in many countries) police is not even allowed to unholster their gun unless there's a very good reason to do it.

Cops are told NEVER to shoot to kill. American's love the Judicial system more than the lives of officers. Cops end up shooting to kill, yes, but then go through INTENSIVE interrogations as to why they did. So its not worth it in the end.

Re: Remove glock from starting police
Okay, what about this?
The police doesn't start with weapons (except for the donator jobs).
Add a new class, or add it to the mayor, who can buy in weapons, maybe shipment of guns, as buying from a Black Market Dealer should be illegal so that doesn't seem to work in a roleplay situation. Then the police talk to the mayor for a weapon, you get heavy weapons for heavy situations.
I think that'd be great. Imagine how many deaths per day is caused by police failRPing with guns - the mayor gives them to those who seem responsible enough to carry a weapon!

Black market dealers aren't illegal until what they sell is illegal.Zeroi9 wrote:Okay, what about this?
